C-MAP: Boating App Reviews

I downloaded Embark a while ago, but have just recently been able to test it well enough.. The design is very intuitive. The charts are easily to understand and the offline mode is wonderful! Getting offline mode once you can download any area you need, and Embark doesn’t limit you how many areas you want. Worth the one time spending 100%! Now i basically use it offline, and won´t have any costs for roaming. I´m curious what they´ll come up with next.

I´ve been talking to the Embark support on how to use the Charts in areas with no internet coverage.. because being out with the boat I don´t want to be dependent on reception. And they solved it with the new version .. it´s possible to just download any area you want and use it with no internet coverage. Great job!

Hardly use my chart plotter anymore. Having my charts on my phone is simply more convenient. Embark offers incredibly detailed charts to navigate with. It´s possible to adjust the depths and heights personally that will be shown on the chart. It works perfectly smooth on the water, shows my location and is very easy to understand. I go fishing a lot with my boat and knowing the depth where I am is crucial to know. Being able to have all that information in a beautiful map… it is what I´ve been waiting for. I haven’t gone boating at night a lot, but the night mode works very well at dusk and dawn as well and the charts are incredibly easy to read! Great product!

Why do I give 5 stars? - The app works smoothly! - The charts are better and with more detail than any I´ve encountered elsewhere! - The usability is intuitive - they have an active and helpful support! What an amazing service! - The map data is up to date and trustworthy - The offline modus is priceless! Any area for one price and no limits? -> great! Why do I feel like I am qualified to write a review: I´ve been boating for years and always have been using paper charts aside of other navigational apps to navigate, as other apps on the market had too overcrowded charts and were no benefit to the paper versions and they were expensive! I´ve been boating all over the US professionally and the chart source Embark is using is the same as the professional shipping navigations use! Bravo on getting hands on this. This app is a different one in the boating community. Finally there is an app out there that I want to rely on. Thank you and high recommendations.

MAJOR login issues. Worked fine after I downloaded it. Says my login info is incorrect. If I got the password wrong, theres no way to reset. Facebook login is a complete no go. Again...worked great at first, interface etc. was good. Fix the login issues. Cheers!

This is my new favorite navigation app. Hands down, the best charts on the market. I was really surprised when I found out how good this was. Using it a lot! It is so easy to use, both clean and detailed at the same time. When you are out boating you want to minimize the time spent looking at your navigation system, and focus on controlling your boat. This app does just that. Would recommend for every boater out there!

This app is very helpful and easy to use. I had a chance to use it over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised. The charts are accurate, i always know exactly where you are. Great app for my needs kayaking, it helps me to record my trips, save favourite or danger places. I really like this app!

app appeared, I really like ....... whenever traveling far, I have used it ...... it is very rewarding for me, help me save my location each to ...... eg: sea, supermarket, hotel, ..... in addition, it also helps me search, the first nautical charts. I love the app, the app will hopefully last forever :)
